Our Story

From Texas with Love

Our journey with leather began in 2013 while living in Clyde, Texas. I co-founded a business producing high-end signage and decor in leather. It took 18 months to develop the methods and specialized equipment, but once we were up and running the company did very well. In 2016 I sold my share of that business and in 2017 our family decided to go on an adventure. We packed up and moved to Columbia, Tennessee - a small town with a strong tradition of hard-working tradesmen and crafters. We immediately felt at home. I built all new custom equipment including a unique 520 ton postless press, capable of pressing full hides. In 2021 we began working on a way to incorporate USGS topographic models into our leather products. It took us many months and a herd's worth of hides to perfect the method. We also began to develop the newer copper city map products. It's been a challenging journey with many years of R&D, but we feel like the end results make every penny we've spent well worth it.

Unique or Bust

From the very beginning, our goal was to create a product that the world has never seen, never knew it needed, but absolutely must have. The course has been one of literal blood, sweat and tears, but throughout the journey, especially in the most difficult times, it's as if these beautiful mediums of leather and copper whispered to us their endless possibilities. I'm glad we stayed with it and I'm glad we listened.
